The "Altar of Earth" was ten cubits high and stood in the court of the Tabernacle, a short distance from the Tent of Meeting. It was hollow and filled with earth.
The altar was ascended by a sloping ramp 30 cubits long and 3 cubits wide and was also filled with earth. Sacrifices were carried up this ramp.
